BRANCUSI IN NEW YORK 1913-2013

KASMIN GALLERY

New York | 2013

Brancusi in New York 1913-2013 was an exhibition presented by Kasmin Gallery and designed by studioMDA in 2013. The design created a dialogue between scale and perception, inviting the viewers to experience the non-linear geometry of the sculptures within the linear pattern of the exhibition layout, which is modeled after the Manhattan Grid. The limestone pedestals, upon which the bronze sculptures are place, represent the rigidity of form and materiality found throughout the city.
